Rainy, Busy Days.....

It has continued to be so rainy here, but the sun has peeked through again and apparently it's here to stay for a while now. YAY!
The mallards out back hatched 6 beautiful ducklings and the heron is currently fishing for (what I call) goldfish in the back pond. Huge, honkin' giant gold fish. What a beautiful place we live in.
Cole is standing here and he wants to say that he still likes Thomas and he *needs* a new train, Molly I think... I think that's one of the few he still doesn't have. In fact, he's trying to push me off my computer to go onto thomasthetankengine.com since Blake got their computer privileges taken away yesterday. LOL...
This past weekend the boys had a birthday party at a Gymnastics place on Saturday and then on Sunday they spent the afternoon at the Valley Zoo learning how to be a Zookeeper with the Beaver's troop. Fun! This coming weekend, Blake is off on a 3-day camping trip with the Beaver's year-end Beaveree.. so it will just be Cole, Eric and I. It will be shockingly quiet.. wow. What will Cole do without someone to make bodily-function noises with, fight with and joke around with?!
Anyways, before I sign off, I am going to post a recent layout, change the music and let Cole play Thomas the Tank Engine since Blake is at school :) Ciao!

Oh the joys...

Rain, rain and more rain... good news is, we're not flooded like the Kootenays... and hopefully we'll dry out a bit soon. Not fun for trying to housebreak a puppy.
One pair of Canadian geese out back have hatched 7 beautiful goslings, I am going to try to snap a photo soon. We've been hard at work on our backyard.. finishing up with the deck area and what not.
My stomach has been worse than ever, so between feeling like utter dookie and still maintaining a daily routine, things have been uber-hectic. Hopefully, *they* can figure out what the bleep is wrong with it, fix it, and I can move on with things soon!
A little tootin' of the horn, I was a runner up at ScrapArtist's "Why I Scrap" contest... got me a nice ol' gift certificate to the shoppe... and then at the Blessings chat last week, also got me a free kit in the trivia game.. hehe. I was feeling might lucky (I love ScrapArtist stuff.. so now I am spending oodles of time just staring at the tidbits of the kits until I find just the right photos to use them with!).
Anyhoo, off to change the tunage on here, from GreenDay to something else, we'll have to see.. need a change of pace. Hope you're all well and in good spirits!

Oi Vey

Boy, have things been hectic! First things first... Dad has gotten his chemo and radiation protocol. Chemo starts this coming Monday.. 5 days straight, of for 3 weeks, then on for 4 days.. of for 2 weeks, on for 3 days... all through the summer, radiation starts in June I believe. He's feeling well, so he has a lot on his side.
I won't stop praying...
Second, THIS little guy now calls OUR house home:

are Arial Black, Jane Austen and Charyn..
He's adjusting well, not screaming so much in his kennel at night.. the first 3 nights were rough. He's smart too, pees on command, doesn't even need a leash going outside from the house to the backyard to do his business. He's intrigued by the neighbours 2 spastic Boston Terriers...
On a sad note, Aunty Barb lost her fight with cancer, her funeral was yesterday... Momw as able to make it out to pay respects. What a strong woman she was.. and I cannot believe she is gone, reunited with her Mom and Dad, free from pain.
Anyways, I will be back to update more again later when Tuck isn't whining to go outside. Take care everyone.
