The Excitement!!!!!!

So, I decided to enter into ScrapArtist's APPRENTICE contest.. where they are looking for a new designer. I did it just to have some fun and 'put myself out there'.. which is so unlike me. And you know what? It feels GREAT! I made it past the first round with my mini-kit "Mama's House"

And I was SO thrilled.. the second round is to create 2 papers (1 patterned and 1 solid) to show texture... so I submitted:

I am really having a blast, and even if I don't make it past Round 2.. I am happy to just be able to do this! Here is a page I created using the papers... (everything by yours truly)...

Oh.. and tonight is a night I have been waiting for since I was, like, 9! We are going down to Rexall Place to see the one and only ELTON JOHN!!!!!! Oh, I am SOOOOOO stoked!!! He's my piano-playing hero!

What a crazy bunch of days it has been. It's times like these I know our decision for me to return to being a SAHM is the best decision... but also it is times like these that have me exasparated. I would get into detail, but it's really late and I am emotionally drained!

Okay, so the first day of sending the kids to school was kind of bittersweet... my littlest now in Kindergarten... and it's the start of a new era in our household.
HOWEVER, with that said.. by day #3 I was like the lady in the IKEA commercial.. "START THE CAR!! WOOHOOOO!!"
So, with that said.. here's a lookie at the boys' first day!

Okay, so I am TOTALLY in love with this paper pack from Jennilyn Designs...

I can't wait to get them and play with them.. I will post a LO probably tomorrow with it.. the colours are phenomenal!
Mom is getting surgery today for her cataracts.. she got them young.. ack! I am SO hoping everything went 110% and I cannot wait to talk to her!
